Gospel Roads I

  • Youth Participants
    Gospel Roads I is intended for high school students, 15-18 years old. Participants are asked to register as a group with their local youth group, youth center, school, etc. Individuals who are not part of a youth group, or whose group is not planning to take part in Gospel Roads, may contact the Salesian Office of Youth Ministry if they are interested in taking part in a Gospel Roads program this summer. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Go to "Apply Online" to fill out the interest form.
  • Adult Chaperons
    Adults must be at least 21 years old. However, to drive a vehicle with any minors riding in it (anyone under the age of 18), the driver must be at least 24 years old. There must be at least 1 adult for every 5 youth participants.
    These are the policies and minimums established by the Salesians of Don Bosco. Please be sure to refer to your local diocesan regulations to ensure that you are meeting their minimums as well. For example, if your local diocese requires that a driver only needs to be 22, you must still comply with our established minimium of 24. However, if your diocesan minimum is 25, you must comply with that! The adult chaperons should be youth ministers at the local parish or school. A parent or other adult can attend as the group chaperon, however, we will require the youth minister's approval. Also, the adult must have completed Protecting God's Children training (or the local diocesan equivalent. Adults will also receive a copy of the Salesians' "Creating Safe Environments" policy which they will be required to review.
  • Young Team
    Past participants of the Gospel Roads program, who are at least 18 years old, can serve as Young Team members.

Gospel Roads II

  • Participants
    GRII is intended for young adults, at least 18 years old. Past participation in Gospel Roads I is encouraged, but not required. College students who are looking to participate in Gospel Roads for the first time are encouraged to sign up for a GRII program.
