Intro | The Program | History

There are three "levels" to the Salesian Gospel Roads program: Gospel Roads I, II, and III.

Gospel Roads I serves as an introduction to the program.
During Gospel Roads I, participants will be exposed to a wide variety of Christian service opportunities. They will spend time working directly with and indirectly for the poor and less fortunate in soup kitchens, food pantires, summer camps, crisis pregnancy centers, and more. The goal is to expose young people to the may different types of service that are available. Gospepl Roads I also focuses on development of the Christian community.

Gospel Roads II is geared towards past participants of Gospel Roads I.
Rather than work at a number of different sites throughout the week, Gospel Roads II entails working for more than one day at each service site, giving participants an opportunity to see the fruits of their labor and spend more time with the community where they serve.

Gospel Roads III is an foreign Christian service retreat.
Plain and simple, Gospel Roads III takes young adults that have previously completed Gospel Roads I & II to a foregin country to continue the experience of walking the Gospel Roads.
Due to the unique nature of this summer's GRIII in Haiti, participants are not required to have completed a GRI and GRII previously, however, participants must be at least 21 years old to apply.

For more details regarding who can participate on each program, please visit Summer 2010. There, the policies regarding participants on this summer's programs can be found, detailing who is eligible for each stage of the Gospel Roads program.
