This is a Gospel Roads II program. There will be an application process, which will be made available in February.
Transportation Info:
Travel to/from GR Newark: The Salesian House is located just outside of Newark, NJ. Anyone traveling by plane, train, or bus, should travel in and out of Newark. The airport in Newark Liberty Intl Airport (code: EWR). Trains and buses arrive to Newark Penn Station (code: NWK). If traveling to one of these places, you will be picked up and dropped off by a member of the GR Newark team. If you're driving, please travel directly to the Salesian House.
Host Site Facts:
Facilities: In addition to being the home of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, the Salesian House is also a small retreat center that's ideal for hosting this Gospel Roads.
Lodging: Participants will be housed in the bedrooms at the Salesian House. Rooms are for 2-4 people each, and share a bathroom with the neighboring room. The rooms are equipped with beds, with linens and towels.
Bathrooms: Every two bedrooms share a common bathroom. Towels are provided, however, participants will need to provide their own toiletries.

Get to know...
Lia Canavan
Program Director
Lia Canavan has been involved with various Gospel Roads programs since 2006 including one of the first GR's to New Orleans in 2007, through the Salesians mission trip during Thanksgiving.
She developed and deepened a love for both Gospel Roads and the city of New Orleans and is excited to serve as director of GR II Newark this summer. She is a social worker in the area of Newark, NJ, and is committed to promoting the Salesian spirit of dignity of the young and the poor through her work.
